Who is Chef Amee?           


What has she done with herself so far?
She is a woman with a passion to equip and inspire young people and adults to create a cozy, safe, and
colorful home environment through cooking, gardening, decor, and simple living.


A graduate from Northern Arizona University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education
Teaching experience in Brussels, Belgium
Mentored and taught at a residential care facility in Branson, Missouri for several years.
Studied with some of the greatest chefs in the culinary field at the French Culinary Institute, New
York City, where she earned her Grand Diplome of Classic Culinary Arts .  
These little people that you see with her are her cooking brigade (also known as her neices and
nephew).  You will generally see her playing with these kiddos whenever she can and trying to get them
to eat her favorite pesto sauce or tasting a piece of fish!  She won't back down...

desserts to give away to others, and dinners that your guests are looking forward to.

Alton Brown of
"Good Eats" because Chef Amee loves to learn about everything she
can when it comes to creating good food.  She also enjoys watching Lydia's Family
Table because she is so authentic and loves her family!

garden that must be sooo
soft to lay on...
Chef Amee attended the 2008 Women Chefs and Restaurateurs Conference held in New
Orleans in September.  What an amazing place to visit with culturally diverse restaurants,
unique people, and buildings that have endless history.  She met many women in the culinary
industry from cheesemakers, to farmers and authors, to restaurant owners and wine makers.  
It was an inspiring and adventurous trip.   

I took a Culinary History Tour of New Orleans and went behind the scenes of one of the
oldest and well-known restaurants, Antoine's. (See pictures below.)  We had a guide that
gave a personal tour.
